QIS NDT DIVISION SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETES NDT SERVICES FOR THE BALTICA 2 OFFSHORE SUBSTATION PROJECT

As the global renewable energy sector continues to expand rapidly, offshore wind projects require not only substantial investment but also the highest engineering standards to ensure the safety, reliability, and long-term performance of every critical component.
The Baltica Offshore Wind Farm (Baltica OWF), located in the Baltic Sea within Poland's territorial waters, is one of the world's largest offshore wind developments and the largest renewable energy project in Poland's history. The project is being jointly developed by Polska Grupa Energetyczna (PGE), Poland's national power utility, and Ørsted A/S, one of the world's leading offshore wind developers.
BALTICA 2
As the first phase of Baltica OWF, Baltica 2 has a total installed capacity of 1.5 GW, capable of supplying clean electricity to approximately 2.4 million people across Poland, including households, schools, hospitals, public institutions, and businesses. A key component of the project is the offshore substation, often referred to as the "heart" of the entire wind farm. It is responsible for collecting, transforming, and transmitting electricity generated by offshore wind turbines to the national power grid. Fabricated in Vietnam, the more than 3,200-tonne structure was successfully load-out at Vung Tau Port and is now ready for its journey to the Baltic Sea, carrying Vietnam's engineering expertise and manufacturing capabilities to the European market.
As part of this world-class project, the QIS NDT Division successfully completed the assigned Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) scope. Working alongside international contractors, engineering specialists, and project stakeholders, the QIS team demonstrated strong technical expertise while strictly complying with the project's technical specifications and quality standards. Their professionalism, dedication, and effective collaboration contributed significantly to ensuring fabrication quality, maintaining project schedule, and supporting the overall success of the project.
This achievement marks another important milestone in QIS's participation in large-scale international renewable energy projects while further demonstrating the capability of Vietnamese engineers within the global supply chain. From the smallest precision components to offshore structures weighing thousands of tonnes, Vietnamese engineering services and technical expertise are increasingly contributing to some of the world's most significant energy infrastructure projects. Bearing the mark of Vietnamese craftsmanship, these structures are now making their way to the Baltic Sea, supporting Europe's clean energy transition while reinforcing Vietnam's growing presence in the global industrial landscape.
QIS sincerely thanks our valued Client for their trust and confidence in our services. We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the entire QIS NDT Division for their dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment throughout the project. Their efforts ensured the successful completion of the assigned scope in full compliance with the project's stringent technical requirements, delivering the project safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Moving forward, QIS remains committed to continuously enhancing our technical capabilities and service quality while supporting major energy and industrial projects around the world.
