QIS IS HONORED TO BE ONE OF THE UNITS CONSULTED BY THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY REGARDING THE DRAFT AMENMENT TO THE CIRCULAR.
Following a direct visit and working session with QIS by the Director of the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Bureau, the Ministry of Science and Technology has sent a letter requesting input on the draft amendment to the Circular - which provides detailed regulations on administrative penalties in the field of atomic energy, replacing Circular No. 27/2014/TT-BKHCN dated October 10, 2014. As a facility involved in radiation activities and providing support services for the application of atomic energy, QIS is proud to be one of the 20 domestic companies and corporations to receive the Ministry's request for feedback.
The application of radiation and nuclear technology for socioeconomic development is an essential requirement for every country, including Vietnam. However, this comes with an increased risk of radiation and nuclear incidents, resulting in severe consequences such as fatalities, long-lasting health effects on humans, ecological damage, and long-term impacts on society. Therefore, the enforcement of administrative penalties in the field of atomic energy is always given top priority by the State.
Recognizing the importance of this draft amendment, QIS has conducted thorough research and practical examinations based on years of company operations. We held a serious meeting among our leadership and surveyed the opinions of all staff members to gather accurate and relevant contributions that meet the expectations of industry stakeholders. Specifically, we propose the addition of Clause c, Article 2, and clarification of the provisions stated in Decree No. 142/2020/ND-CP, Point b, Article 2, and Article 13.
We hope that these contributions will play a significant role in enhancing the effectiveness of responding to radiation and nuclear incidents, while ensuring safety and environmental protection. This endeavor will contribute to the sustainable development of our nation and its ongoing mission of nation-building.
