Pre/Post weld heat treatment (PWHT) is a process applied to welded joints and high strength base steels. PWHT is performed for the purpose of reducing residual stress, controlling the stiffness of the joint area and improving it’s longevity with processing temperatures up to 900 degrees Celsius.
Based on the strategic direction of continuous improvement and the development of advanced, environmentally friendly technology, QIS has been providing heat treatment services for numerous projects both onshore and offshore in the oil and gas industry, power plants, gas facilities, oil refineries, and the maritime sector, among others.
QIS's R&D team of engineers and Ph.Ds. has developed our own PWHT machines, which has been implemented in various projects. A significant milestone in this development is the CPP03-DSM1 Project, which involves the highest number of PWHT machines ever used in a project. QIS has prepared 24 PWHT machines along with a dedicated team and a large quantity of heat treatment materials for this project.
Currently, QIS is providing PWHT services for projects such as Dai Hung PVCMS, Kanfa Group, Orsted, LSP, etc. The focus on quality has contributed to the reliability, satisfaction of customers, and the brand reputation of QIS.
